'Blog anxiety: From reformers to conformers?'
The above articles talks about how bloggers are no longer 'upstarts who blissfully put their individual perspective' into their writing. Now, since their audience is mainstream, blogs are slowly turning mainstream.
Well, i don't mind a little bit of editing now and then, when i step a bit too far out of line, but i believe that freedom of speech is important. Of course i won't put any inflammatory stuff, but this is my blog, my rules, my choice of what to put. Not you. Not anyone. Certainly not.
One example would be the class blog. devoid of any sort of imagination. Of course Mr Dave Tay reads it(Lang Arts Rocks!)but surely,a blog isn't just for posting homework? We would call that the Homework Times and start selling it for 50 cents, why don't we?(incidentally, get !nk, i found it quite nice)
thats why my blog is controversial. It has an adult content warning. If you don't like the stuff in my blog, who's forcing you to read it? No one. See that red X at the corner? press it. alt-f4? no problem. Ctrl-A-Enter? Ok better not press that.
So spread the news-the nonsensical blogger has gone.
Of course i won't go to the Perez Hilton-esque extreme, however i'll certainly push the boundaries.
Just that SOME people insist on me blogging every single day.
And facebook looks fun.
